Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Cosmic Quest. A parent or legal guardian age 18 or older must accept these terms and give the required privacy permission before creating learner profiles. Children use the app under that grown-up’s supervision.
Free learning, without ads
Cosmic Quest is 100% free to use and has no advertisements, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. We do not ask children to buy anything. Internet access and device costs are your responsibility.
Your family account
Use an email address you control. Keep verification codes and account access private. Only create profiles for children for whom you are a parent or legal guardian. Use the supplied explorer avatars rather than personal names. You are responsible for supervising your children and for choosing who may use a shared device.
Optional passkeys use your device’s authentication. Email codes remain available if a device or passkey is lost. A passkey does not identify which family member is using the device.
Learning and generated stories
The app offers practice and encouragement. Progress indicators help choose practice activities; they are not a formal assessment, a diagnosis, or a guarantee of learning outcomes. Some optional stories are generated by AI and may contain mistakes or unexpected wording. A grown-up should supervise use and may turn fresh AI stories off in the learning settings.
Use the app respectfully
Do not access another family’s information, impersonate a guardian, attempt to bypass security, interfere with the service, automate abusive requests, or use the service unlawfully. Do not submit personal information where the app does not request it. The app does not offer public posting or communication between users.
Content and availability
You may use Cosmic Quest and its learning materials for personal family learning. App artwork, recordings, software, and other materials remain subject to their applicable ownership and licenses. These terms do not give permission to resell the app or claim its materials as your own.
We aim to provide a useful service, but availability may be interrupted, features may change, and stories may fall back to ready-made content. Download family data if you need your own copy. We may suspend access needed to prevent abuse or protect users, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice when practicable.
Privacy and account closure
The Privacy Policy explains our data practices. You can delete individual explorers or your whole family account in Family space. Account deletion also withdraws permission for continued child-data collection. Inactive accounts are removed under the policy’s retention schedule.
Responsibilities and legal rights
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or particular educational results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties, duties, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms and show the new date here. Material changes to family accounts will require renewed acceptance where appropriate. Contact the operator below with questions, privacy requests, or concerns about the app.
